How Not to Start Your Online Business
Recently, we took a different course of action in giving advice to those who are either busy running and e-commerce business or thinking about doign so. Some of our articles tend to be "how-to's." This time we have a "What-Not-To-Do."

In 2004, two partners launched an online women's accessories business. The main partner is a recent retiree with no retail or online business experience. Because she didn't take the time to learn what she should have done to have a smooth-running operation from the beginning, the business's finances and inventory were a disaster when it came time to file the 2004 tax return.
